Once again, I’m very very slightly ahead of the curve. This time, though, I was the one who plagarized — the author of this article was my economics professor for three semesters in college, and I cribbed this concept from his lecture in my freshman seminar.

I remain firm in my conviction that I would have a much easier time as I go through life if everyone had a basic understanding of microeconomic concepts. If you can explain the indifference principle to me in twenty-five words or less, we’re going to connect instantly. It’s not about being ridiculously technical, it’s just a way of thinking and a way to work one’s mind. (And if you’re a chick with an economics degree, that’s +10 off the top. Economics degree and glasses, +30.)
