I’ve seen a million faces, and yes, in fact, I’ve rocked them all.

If all goes according to schedule, which it probably won’t, I’ll be on the road tomorrow morning at 9am with the cats riding shotgun driving out of Norfolk for the last time.

I won’t miss this city. We never clicked, I just didn’t mesh with the military sensibility, and it’s very very ugly here. Very run-down and ugly. The downtown area is pretty nice, but the rest of Norfolk is ugly as hell. Sorry.

I’m happy to go because it means I’m done living some place temporarily — Chapel Hill will be my new home. (Sorry, other contenders.) I’m going to purchase a bed, I’m going to hang things on walls, I’m going to settle in and act like I’m living some place, instead of living like a serial killer.

The cats and I will be staying with awesome friends in the Chapel Hill area for the rest of the month, probably, until I start work and Austin and I find a place of our own. I’ll keep you posted.
