It should be an honor just to be nominated.

The Scott Jennings Award For Excellence in Service of Scott Jennings is awarded only on special occasions, when a person’s actions truly merit this distinctive honor. Today, the award will be shared by two people.

First, Peter O’Bryan earned the handsome plaque by helping me install a new headlight switch in my Thunderbird. Over the past week, the headlights in my car would start blinking on and off in an annoying and dangerous fashion after I had been on the road for twenty minutes or so, which was a source of some stress for me. Several websites narrowed the problem down to a faulty switch, so I purchased a replacement, which I was unable to install. Enter Peter O’Bryan, who, with his wirey and vice-like hands, was able to pry the malfunctioning switch from the plug and install the replacement. Tonight, the headlights worked flawlessly, and it’s all thanks to Jennings Award winner Peter O’Bryan.

The second winner is Zack Bly, the artist who produced this promotional flyer for this Friday’s Mister Diplomat show:

It’s a Jethro Tull homage, in case you didn’t know. What a delight to have my head Photoshopped onto Gerald Bostock’s body. Zack Bly, enjoy your handsome Jennings Award plaque.
