April 21st, 2004 | by Scott Jennings |I just got flowers for Administrative Professionals Day. Yeah, I’m a web “engineer,” but I do that work in administrative support, so I guess I qualify for pretty pretty posies. I wish I had a digital camera; these flowers look hilarious shoehorned into the clutter on my desk. Two flat-panel monitors, stacks of disorganized documentation and books, piles of fast food napkins, month old post-its clinging for their lives, a chapstick, some office supplies still in their office supply boxes, a red Christmas bulb for some reason, the shorted-out headlight switch from my Thunderbird… and a bouqet of purple carnations.
Ok, I told you guys ’cause you’re cool, but just don’t tell Katy, ok? I want to look super-thoughful when I bring them to her tonight.
