All horribly terrible things…

Harmony is restored to the universe, as Enterprise is cancelled.

It’s unconscionable how poorly that show was produced. It had moments, but the creators forgot this simple maxim: science fiction, especially Trek, is at its best when it focuses on compelling politics and respects continuity. The Enterprise people threw all that out the window, gave us some convoluted temporal cold war bullshit (I hate time travel!), and completely ignored what the fans wanted to see: the politics leading to the first Romulan War and the formation of the Federation. All they had to do was respect the canon and flesh out the story — instead, they pissed all over the canon and produced four years of nonsense.

But I hope Jolene Blalock lands on her feet. And bounces slightly as she lands.
