List Format! List Format!
February 15th, 2005 | by Scott Jennings |I apologize if I’ve been slacking on my deliverables, but I seem to be over most of the effects of the Israeli Death Cough, so let’s play catch up with a little List Format:
- The tail end of the Death Cough made me cancel my trip to DC to impress the Jeopardy! people, and made me bail on my old friend Chris. I’ll make it up to him soon.
- I’m the proud owner of a brand new queen size Sealy pillowtop mattress and boxspring. It’s the first real bed I’ve owned in my adult life, and I’ll tell you, I’m absolutely tickled. It’s a floor model (still in the plastic) that I bought from Furniture Follies out on Highway 54 out towards Graham, and I got a great price on it — such a great price, that I didn’t bat an eye at the price of new linens and a comforter from Kohl’s. It coordinates! And it’s comfortable!
- Katy and I saw Hotel Rwanda. Very good movie. I recommend.
- My new improv team whose temporary name I refuse to speak had its first meeting over the weekend. Good team. I’m excited.
- Valentine’s Day was quite lovely, thanks. We celebrated a day early, we grilled porterhouse steaks (Katy: “Those are the ones with the New York strip on one side and the filet mignon on the other side, right?” Me: “I love you.”) which made me very antsy for it to be grilling season again, we enjoyed some wine and some music and my new bed.
- I just got a haircut, which is a MIRACLE.
- Time to gear up for the Dirty South Improv Festival. EXCITEMENT.
