The year is 2005, very nearly 2006. If your website includes a link labelled “DON’T CLICK HERE,” which links to an hilarious piece of cognitive dissonance, get off the Internet.

If that link is also broken, get off the Internet now.

Full disclosure: I’m pretty sure I did some variation on the “DON’T CLICK HERE” bit in 1996, when a) I was 17, and b) the syntax and conventions of the young Web were ripe for parody. And the link was to a picture of Regis Philbin, who is timeless.
