Reemployed!
April 14th, 2006 | by Scott Jennings |The unemployment will end a week from Monday, after seven restful and productive weeks. I’ve accepted a job in downtown Raleigh for a mid-sized software development house, and I’m very excited about it — I feel like I’m getting back to my career after a strange detour at my last job, and I feel like I’m getting a second chance at my first job out of college, which I shouldn’t have left the way I did. Life is a slow Harold, I’ve had three real jobs since college, and now it’s time for the second beats.
This means I’ll be leaving the tiny duplex in the woods, as well — I couldn’t handle a forty-five minute commute every damn day. I’m looking at the Brier Creek area, to be equidistant from downtown and the theater, and to be right across the street from BJ’s, which I remain obsessed with.
