I miss you too, blog.
September 24th, 2007 | by Scott Jennings |Dear Internet,
If history has anything to say about it, when things are going well for me, this blog turns to a sparse and boring pile of crap. I’m sorry for your loss of reading material, Internet, but I can’t be bothered to find my whimsical voice just this minute. Not many people can transition straight from curmudgeonly to whimsical on a dime, and I appreciate your patience with me.
I’m in the dream job right now, doing exactly what I would have said I wanted to do when I decided to move here exactly two months ago. I had a great visit to North Carolina weekend before last, and I came home and had a great “I’m totally living in the right place” moment when I walked down the street that evening. Yesterday, I was a participant in an improv rehearsal for the first time in about a year, and how great is that? I had to circle around for like an hour tonight looking for a spot on the other side of the street, but that was because I had to bump into Olivia and Patrick and loan them season 4 of The West Wing, so I didn’t really mind. Everything is clicking, everything is effortless, I am the zone.
Hang in there, and in the next few weeks maybe I’ll get an iPhone and talk endlessly about it.
Your pal,
Scott
