Karmic retribution for my senior year of high school.

One of my eight or nine favorite things about my new iPhone is that I finally get to know the joy that comes with owning a cameraphone. I’ve been taking all sorts of stupid pictures of mediocre quality.

I saw Morrissey twice last week. This shot’s from Monday, when I tried to stand right by the barricade but got the cold sweats by 7:15. I retreated to the stage left side, where there was a nice cozy place to lean and keep everything in front of me and enjoy the show and keep the claustrophobia at bay. My word, the man still has it. Such incredible shows.

This is the view from my company’s office across the street. From the office where I’m posted, I have a view of nothing. This is New York Harbor. That bit in the middle is the Statue of Liberty. I call no fair.

ROBERT MOSES!!! MAD WITH POWER!!!

Meaghan visited this weekend to see Morrissey with me on Saturday (from the front row of the mezzanine — much better strategy), and we tried Crepes on Columbus for brunch on Sunday. (My dissatisfaction with that meal has been registered on Yelp.) Next to the restaurant, we saw an abandoned barbershop, and in the window there was a poster that I guess could be described as a subset of possible haircuts available from this establishment. Everyone’s pretty sure they’re seeing what they think they’re seeing here.

ALSO: I don’t have a picture of this, but roommate David Siegel just ate my lunch! I cooked enough food for lunch for the rest of the week, and roommate David Siegel just admitted that he took one of them! That usurper! What will I have for lunch on FRIDAY, roommate David Siegel? What about my lunch on FRIDAY?
