Apartment win!

Dave and I signed a lease on a new apartment this morning, on the same street we are now, one block to the east. We are understandably excited. Please enjoy these crummy photos I took with the iPhone while I was looking at the apartment.

Here is the view from a step or two in from the front door. That thing that looks like a very wide hallway is actually the living room — we’re not sure what we’re going to do in here yet. It might be too tight for a couch and my entertainment center, but it might be a good excuse to finally get a flatscreen television. Probably a small kitchen table towards the back. The room at the end of the hall will probably be my bedroom.

Epic kitchen win. All new stainless steel appliances, new countertops, brand new kitchen. That appliance underneath the counter next to the fridge is one of those European combined washer/dryer devices — the clothes go in dirty and come out clean and dry. The exposed brick for the backsplash gives me a total chubby, and the hanging lights are really nice.

There’s where I’ll be doing the bulk of my bathing and pooping. Such luxury! Wait until Dave installs the automatic shower cleaner in THAT shower!

So, that’s it. We’ll be getting the keys early next week, and I’ll be moving in at a leisurely pace after I get back from vacation. As you can see, there’s no place for you to crash, unless you want to crawl into bed with Dave.
