My name is Scott, and I have a problem.
July 23rd, 2008 | by Scott Jennings |Starting this evening, I’m between Time Warner accounts until we move into the new place on the 31st. No cable, which is a minor inconvenience, but no Internet, which already has me twitching. No open WiFi nodes, either. Lousy neighbors.
I’m laying on the couch, where we barely get any cell phone signal, using the iPhone to keep my electronic tether to Meaghan and the rest of the world. Just flipping between the AIM app, the Mail app, Twitterific, Google Reader, and mobile Safari. In the end, I’m looking at one weekend and five evenings like this, so I ought to be seriously embarassed to be sucking the Internet through this swizzle stick, but here I am. It feels like masturbating with a cast on my arm. (I imagine. I’ve never tried that.)
The WordPress app allows me to enclose a photograph with this communication, so please see below.

I know you have at least one book.
