Nooo it are my birthday!
August 26th, 2008 | by Scott Jennings |Today is the 29th Annual Scott Jennings Day, and as always, you should celebrate as your family’s tradition would dictate. Me, I just got home from work, had some Chinese takeout, and I’m treating myself to some cake and ice cream later. What, no craziness? Well, considering how I teetered on the line between projectile vomiting and alcohol poisoning on the 28th Annual Scott Jennings Day, I think we can have a sedate celebration for one year.
Last month, I failed to mark the one year anniversary of moving back to New York, so this is the thirteen month status report. I stated my goal for my return simply: to put myself in a position to enjoy the hell out of my 30s. In the past thirteen months, I’ve landed an incredible job that I’ve been very successful in thus far, gained a great deal of perspective on a lot of different vague things, and most importantly, proposed to a gorgeous woman who keeps me grounded and fighting every single day. With twelve months until the big three-ohnoes, I don’t know how I could be in a better place.
If you’re one of the valued associates who wished me a happy birthday today either in person or via telephone, email, microblog, SMS message, social networking platform, or electronic greeting card, please enjoy some cake and ice cream in my honor (at your own expense).

Now I have wished you happy birthday in pretty much every way you listed above, plus one.
