Happy anniversary, baby.

I sent roses to Meaghan last year in advance of my arrival for Thanksgiving. (Am I not just the sweetest thing?) But I didn’t know what to put on the card, so I just put “<3", which teenage girls everywhere will recognize as an emoticon heart, and when entered into GChat, will animate into a cute little heart icon. I just didn't want to put "I love you!" on a card her parents would probably see, that seemed a little weird at the time.

The result is attached to this message. HTML entity code fail. (Also, customer service fail — if it makes no sense, call the customer.) Poor Meaghan was confused as hell; she called me to be sure I sent the flowers, and when she read me the card, I laughed and laughed. We can do amazing things with the Internet.

    This blog would be a lot sweeter if I didn’t know that you had written it while sitting on the toilet, though.
