Norm MacDonald: my personal hero.
September 11th, 2008 | by Scott Jennings |The late night talk show is an evolving art in many respects, and unfortunately, it seems that the part where the first guest hangs around on set when the second guest comes out has basically gone the way of the dodo. I mean, I can see why — everyone’s there just to plug their project, it’s probably awkward for that first “big star” guest to sit through some B-lister’s interview, so this tradition, with a few exceptions, has quietly died.
Or maybe it was Norm MacDonald who killed it. I remember watching this when it first aired when I was a freshman in college, and I couldn’t believe this was happening on television. (Apparently, my friend Charlie and I were living in parallel realities before we ever met.)
Poor Courtney Thorne-Smith, whoever that is.

I agree. Norm MacDonald is a comic genius. I love this clip. After the Bob Saget roast, I found myself going through You Tube to find clips of anything Norm-related because he is just that good.
